Ability Tree Arkansas is the current Main Office for the nonprofit organization. The founders of Ability Tree, Joe and Jen Butler were college students, studying pastoral ministry, when their son Micah was diagnosed with developmental disabilities. They would go on to pastor for five years before founding Ability Tree, a faith-based nonprofit organization, in 2010. Joe and Jen have three children, and a personal understanding of the impact of disability on the family.

Ability Tree | Treasure Coast, Florida

Ability Tree Florida was planted in 2017 in Spring Hill.
In 2023 we are making plans for some exciting changes in Florida.

First,  we are making preparations to relocate our Ability Tree Florida location to Port St. Lucie. As more information comes available we will share the exact location. Secondly, we are going to be naming a new executive director soon to lead the charge. Thirdly, we are thrilled to continue to serve the families of Florida (not a change, but just as exciting!).
Thank you families for trusting us with your precious children. It has been an honor to serve you all!

Ability Tree | First Coast, Florida

96 Masters Dr, St. Augustine, FL 32084
The partnership between Ability Tree First Coast and the communities in Northeast Florida is the cornerstone of its future. We are committed to meeting the needs of the special needs community by offering Recreation, Education, Support, and Training. Our organization’s approach to excellence in the family’s development, socialization, and support is its hallmark.

As Ability Tree First Coast grows its roots deeper into this region, our programs will provide various opportunities for our families to be supported, included, and educated. We currently offer virtual SociAbility Meet Ups, respite through our Parents Night Out and SociAbility Socials, as well as provide a summer day camp: CampAbility Special Day Camp. We also promote inclusion in the community by offering trainings & presentations/assemblies which provide awareness & strategies for churches, businesses, schools, and organizations to assimilate these families into their visions. In the future, we will offer activities including sibling groups, workshops, and after-school programs.

Ability Tree | New Jersey

605 Pascack Rd, Township of Washington, NJ 07676
Jen and Joe Butler founded Ability Tree in NJ in 2010. After the Butler family was called to Arkansas (Ability Tree Headquarters), Ability Tree programming continued in NJ. Ability Tree of New Jersey officially became an affiliate of Ability Tree in December 2017. We are excited to build on what the Butlers have started by supporting individuals and families impacted by disability in our community.
